Host families not only make studying and living in Taiwan easier and memorable, but also make life-long friends.
Introduction
The Taiwan Hostfamily Program is holding a meetup event in Kaohsiung on Sunday, September 29th. Registration deadline is Wednesday, September 25th.
Do you want to explore Taiwan through the guidance of the local people?
Do you need some help with getting used to Taiwanese lifestyle?
Do you have questions about living in Taiwan?
A host family will answer all these questions and more!
It is free for students to stay with a host family. But students still have to pay for travel expenses, such as travel expenses from their institutes to the host family’s house.

There are 3 ways to register.

(1) Fill out the online application form and print out the form. Remember to sign your name on it. You don’t have to complete the seal part.
(2) Scan or photograph your Student ID card.
(3) Email us (hostfamily@stust.edu.tw) the 2 documents as mentioned above.

(3) After we activate your account, please click the link above again to sign up for the event.

- Degree students
- Exchange students
- Chinese language students



Agenda
At the event, overseas students will be matched with a host family, who then can get to know each other during the tea time. It’s just a meetup, so there will be no overnight stays in host family’s house arranged at this event. If the student would like to go somewhere with the host family after the meetup, they can politely ask the host family via email after they are provide with the host family’s contact information.

About Taiwan Hostfamily Program
The program is sponsored by the Ministry of Education. Their goal is to connect host families with foreign students in order to give all overseas students an opportunity to have greater understanding of Taiwanese culture. Taiwan Hostfamily Program is free and open to overseas students in Southern Taiwan.
This year, they will hold a Tea Party event where host families and students get to know each other by socializing and playing games.
