July 5-7 Kaohsiung Beer Rock Festival

Since 2010, the 7-ELEVEN Beer Rock Festival has continued to surprise fans with great live performances. This year, the festival welcomes more than 25 individual and group Taiwanese singers.

July 6-7 W.A.M We Are Monchichi

We Are Monchichi is an award-winning duo dancing group. Honji Wang and Sébastien Ramirez, two persons sharing four cultures, create their bedrock piece Monchichi in 2010 aiming to defend a notion of difference despite culturally anchored stereotypes. W.A.M.  We Are Monchichi, is the story of an encounter between an Italian B-boy and a Taiwanese dancer which must cohabit and habituate themselves to the clichés associated with their birth countries. July 6-7 Mei Hong Lin x TANZLIN.Z “Die Brautschminkerin”

Mei Hong Lin, an Austria-based Taiwanese choreographer, is currently the Artistic Director of TANZLIN.Z, and also a renowned choreographer and opera director in Europe.  Die Brautschminkerin is created by Mei Hong Lin, Artistic Director of TANZLIN.Z, based on the novel Bloody Sacrifice with Color Make-Up by Taiwanese writer Li Ang. July 20 Baking Workshop by Le Cordon Bleu Kaohsiung Campus

July 28 Viennese Wayfarer

Chamber Philharmonic Taipei is formed of professional Taiwanese musicians from around the world. This summer, they are bringing Mahler and Debussy’s mater pieces to Kaohsiung to share with classical music enthusiasts.

August 30 Mid-Summer Concert

Taiwan Connection (TC) was co-founded in 2004 by violinist Nai-Yuan Hu, First Prize winner of the 1985 Queen Elisabeth Competition, and Stanley Yen, chairman of the Alliance Cultural Foundation, to bring together talented Taiwanese musicians, both local and from abroad, in chamber music performances with the further aim of promoting classical music all over Taiwan.
The mid-summer concert 2019 features Göran Marcusson (Flute), Andrew Bain (French horn), Ole Akahoshi (Cello), and Akinobu Yoda (Bassoon) as guest principals.
